Looking for Headphones
I'm looking for a new pair of headphones to use with Bern (previously mentioned here and here). Moreover, volume control is also important as the Mini doesn't have hardware sound control.

My Mac Mini, Bern, is past its 2-3 week mark and is in week 3-4. That means it's late.
My book for CS181 was back in the bookstore yesterday. That's good, the second assignment is due tomorrow. I read a chapter the other day from someone else's (for the first assigment) and it looked like a pretty dull book. I'm actually reading parts of it now and it doesn't seem half bad (it actually explains how the algorithms are used and where they came from--I don't remember hearing that part in class, but I might have missed those parts). It'd be nice to have a syllabus, but requests have been ignored thus far (as have most newsgroup questions).
On the positive side, Anna should be here soon.
This is going ot be a busy upcoming week. Aside from not getting a lot of sleep (staying up late to hack on things, followed by getting up for talks by candidates for professor positions), recruitment starts today (which means I get to pick people up at the airport) gin and dine on Brown, and then play he second of three soccer games this week. More work follows ... then a break from classwork.
